Sick Penguin
I realize I haven't posted. I have been sick. I am sitting here hacking and feeling like my chest should explode. I haven't had energy to pick up the needles. I finished Brooke's Mary Jane slippers and I did take a picture.
Brooke said she was going to felt right away and wants to wear them this weekend. If this was July, maybe. It's cold here... not gonna happen. But they are cute!
Hopefully I will get well and feel like knitting again. Until then I will be blowing my nose and hacking and spending a lot of time under a fleece blanket.

OK - don't freak out. I felted the mary jane slippers last night, put them on one of those sweater drying rack things over the heater vent over night and they are DRY!! all three love you so much layers of footsie warming soles, DRY DRY DRY. I have no ribbon, 'cause I thought it would take til spring before I could wear them. BUT THEY ARE DRY!! Your the bestest penguin ever!! I love them.

slipper udate: I put cute little pearl buttons on them and stuck the strap with large knitting needles - for a button hole. They are adorable!! It's tuesday, so I am off to the LYS after work. I'll see if devvy has a camera for her shop's blog!! Get well sooon. Grammy penguins should not be sick.
