My Bags/Stash

(Blank filler so hopefully you can see the whole post!)

The stash/my bags. Oh dear... well the truth of the matter is I have way too much to have in bags. Sometimes I do because whatever I'm currently working on will go in a bag and go in my "to work" bag. An example of that is the second picture on the left and the second on the right. The purple bag holds a royal blue chenille washcloth I am making for someone. The other is a ripped out project I am just starting to get back to working on.

The top two pictures are bags, books, baskets and a tote filled with all my yarn, crochet thread and instructions either in books, pamplets or printouts. For my next post I will take a picture of the two vases I have filled with my needles. One actually has 2 needle cases in it (one with needles in the case - the other case is for a pair a needles I've ordered) which my dear friend Linda made for me - THANK YOU LINDA!!!! I wanted a nice way to display them. My DDPNs, however, are in a needle case. I also have this really cool tote organizer thingy which Linda (THANK YOU AGAIN!) told me about at Michael's. I had to buy one after seeing hers... totally cute. It holds a buncho f things in zippered pockets and you can take out or add to it.

OK, I know this is supposed to be about my bags and stash but haven't ya'll ever noticed how when you get together with other friends who are crafy that if they have something cool, whether it's a pattern or accessory or set of needles - whatever, that you find yourself saying, "Oh wow! I want that!". HGTV has an "I Want That!" series and I think I'm going to email them and tell them they need one for crafters. :)

And thank you for not asking about how many projects I'm working on at the moment. I appreciate that. :) I hate having to lie!

Boo Hoo

Boo Hoo! Two bad things yesterday but fortunately one good one, too. Good one - CHAMPS got together at Roni's and we surprised Julie for her birthday which is Thursday. A nice cool afternoon at a beautiful house with wonderful friends, knitting, food and a movie - no girl could ask for more!

But, alas, two bad things happened. I wasn't paying attention when I was knitting in the near dark at home. I held up the newest afghan project and saw I had dropped a stitch at least 6 rows down. Because it's in a pattern, I couldn't just rip to the spot and pick up. And when I got to the 9 rows of garter, I couldn't pick up enough stitches so I had to rip out everything and start over completely. Ratty thing is that I probably had over 50 rows done. There goes over a week of work.

And then the really bad thing happened. Yes, something even worse. I live without air conditioning. The fans usually are enough. Last night it was so hot that even with a fan blowing directly on me, it must have been about 100 inside my bedroom. It was about 1:30am last time I checked the clock and I was up at 5:30am this morning so I am one very, very pooped Penguin.

Anybody know where I can get a job and affordable housing in someplace where the average temperature year round is 50? (Hey, there should be a rule - you can't live anywhere where the daily temperature in the summer is higher than you age if you're over 50.)

So I am now hot, tired and frustrated. Gee, almost like being married again. hehehehe
